Symbiotic Engineering has been contracted with Boulder County to track and analyze the energy and greenhouse gas emissions impacts of its community programs to help inform Boulder County’s future environmental sustainability efforts. The Sustainability Information Management System has been utilized to track the Climate Smart Loan Program (a Property Assessed Clean Energy loan program), their low-income outreach and assistance (Energy Corps) and the Residential Energy Action Program.
Work with Boulder County has continued to expand, particularly with the start of Boulder County’s EnergySmart program. Now, Boulder County’s Sustainability Information Management System is also helping to coordinate and manage the reporting requirements for Boulder County’s Better Buildings grant (EnergySmart) to the U.S. Department of Energy as well as inform future County sustainability program development. For these projects, Symbiotic has collaborated with multiple city, county and federal government agencies, utilities and other private sector entities to orchestrate the required utility data analysis, monthly and quarterly reports to the Department of Energy, greenhouse gas impacts and database management. Symbiotic’s technical expertise and “can do” attitude are reasons that Boulder County highly recommends us to any government agency needing data analysis, reporting capabilities or sustainability benchmarking, tracking, goal setting and monitoring.
