Sustainable Energy Resources for Consumers Grants (SERC) - Colorado
Project Period: May, 2011 to Present

Symbiotic Engineering is part of a grant winning team that consists of three local, low-income weatherization agencies in Colorado and Tendril who were selected to receive more than $950,000 to conduct and evaluate behavioral based measures in low-income weatherization serviced homes. We are delivering our customized Resource Utilization reports to 800 low-income residences to test whether personalized messaging on specific energy saving opportunities in their homes, coupled with Tendril’s in-home displays result in significant energy savings beyond the normal weatherization services (insulating and air sealing).

This Sustainable Energy Resources for Consumers Grant (SERC) is part of a total of $90 million under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that has be carved out to support the use of a wide range of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies by local, low-income weatherization providers across the country.
