Symbiotic was selected to provide our Sustainability Information Management System for quantifying the effectiveness of City of Irvine’s energy and water conservation efforts for their municipal facilities. Funding is provided by a competitive Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Symbiotic is also working on behalf of the City of Irvine to help develop a utility data sharing protocol with the local investor owned utilities (Southern California Edison and The Gas Company) to help Irvine understand energy use trends and energy saving opportunities in different neighborhoods across the city.
